Anyway, I'm currently accepted into about 7 different biochemistry programs, and I've been tearing my hair out trying to figure out which one I should go to by April 15, the due date. I could go to Ann Arbor, UCSD, Madison, Georgetown, Washington, Boulder, or this weird thing called the Johns Hopkins - NIH Graduate Partnership Program that sounds a bit scary, actually.
My dad and I came up with this weighted scale for ranking each of the schools, and Madison came out on top, by a longshot, seems like. I like having a choice, and I'm supposed to sit on it and think for a while, and see where my subconscious takes it.
If you can't tell I'm a huge nerd already, here's a hint: I spent the first half of my spring break in Salt Lake City presenting a poster on using quaternions to track the motions of biological macromolecules in a computer simulation.
Man, I'm so easily distractable. I spent almost all my time this evening trying to write my paper but actually moderating posts on fmylife.com, which is a pretty cool site if you haven't checked it out yet. Now I'm writing a silly blog post to no one in particular. Maybe it's for posterity's sake. I remember when I sent a couple of emails to myself in the future through something they called the Time Machiner and being a little bit pissed off when the site crapped out. It'd be pretty cool to keep this up, maybe as some sort of memoir of myself.
Boy, I really hope that everything about my school turns out to be good. I can't see how it won't.
And now, in the fashion of one of my favorite websites, oddtodd.com,
ok bye!
